FRUK ENROLMENT & WAITING LISTS
Places at the FRUK Forest Kindergarten are given on a first come first served, basis and secured by a deposit payment as completion of enrolment. If we are unable to place your child in your preferred childcare option of days for an in term immediate start, or your child is not yet old enough to join FRUK, you are invited to join our waiting list. We notify parents of places approximately 2 months prior to their child’s start date.
There is a £25 administration fee to join the FRUK waiting list. This fee is to secure a place on the waiting list only, which is non refundable.
For your child to consolidate their learning and developmental progress at FRUK we ask they attend a minimum of 2 FULL DAYS per week during term time.

OPENING TIMES 9:30am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday
FOOD FRUK provide organic vegan snacks in the morning and afternoon. Children are required to bring a healthy packed lunch.
38 weeks per year, during term time. We follow the Hackney School calendar.

GOVERNMENT FUNDED HOURS
WHAT FUNDING IS AVAILABLE TO ME AT FRUK?
15 hours Universal entitlement:
All 3 and 4 year old children are able to access 570 hours of entitlement hours funded by the Government from the term after their third birthday. This funding can be applied across the school terms (38 weeks per year).
HOW MANY HOURS CAN I CLAIM AT FRUK?
FRUK are registered in the London Borough of Hackney.
We offer the 15 funded universal hours funded by the Government as part of our FRUK day, applied over 38 weeks. A FRUK day is from 9.30am – 3.30pm.
The 570 hours of funded hours equates to 15 hours per week for full days (capped at 5 hours per day) over 38 weeks.
We apply a charge for the additional hours outside of the funded hours.
HOW DOES THE FUNDED HOURS AFFECT MY FEES?
Your Universal 15 hour entitlement will be provided free at the point of delivery. FRUK charge for the additional hours provided outside the entitlement hours funded by the Government.

You must complete a Parental Contract form for each provider and you must declare the hours you are claiming at each setting.
Childcare Voucher Providers
FRUK are registered with many childcare voucher providers. It is usually a simple process to search for “Free Range Urban Kids” or our postcode “E5 0AR” with your designated childcare voucher provider, who will then make the payment to us.

Tax Free Childcare
FRUK are registered with Tax Free Childcare, a new on-line government service to help working parents with the cost of their childcare. For every £8 a parent pays into their childcare account, HMRC will pay an extra £2, up to a maximum of £2,000 every year for each child. Parents are then able to pay FRUK for childcare directly from their childcare accounts.

WORKING TAX CREDIT
Many low and middle-income families can claim working tax credit. You could get up to 70 per cent of your childcare costs reimbursed.

INSET DAYS AND BANK HOLIDAYS
There is a small charge for Inset Days & Bank Holidays which will be spread between all children attending our setting. We will hold at least one inset day each term for staff continual professional development. Inset days can be viewed with our term dates.
ENROLMENT FEE FOR FRUK FOREST KINDERGARTEN
An enrolment/administration fee of £50 is collected when your child starts their confirmed place with FRUK and includes a back pack. This payment is added to your first month’s fees.
The backpack we have chosen is from Deuter and is ergonomic, easy for children to carry and holds a bottle of water in an outside pocket thereby allowing ease of access whilst preventing any of the items carried in the bag from getting wet. It comes with an outer Hi-Vis waterproof cover which is important for children going on nature walks and leaving our site in all weathers.
LEAVING FRUK FOREST KINDERGARTEN
There is a minimum notice period of 2 months if you decide to leave FRUK.
2 months notice period must also be given if you reduce the number of days your child attends our setting. All requests must be made in writing.
