Forest Kindergarten Booking & Fees

Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis and secured by a deposit. If we are unable to place your child in your preferred childcare option of days you are invited to join our waiting list. There is a £25 administration fee to join the waiting list. For your child to get the most out of FRUK we ask that children attend at 1.5 days per week or 3 sessions per week.

Full Day – £55.00 (9.30am – 3.30pm term time only)

Half days – £28.00 morning (9.30am – 12.30pm) or afternoon (12.30pm – 3.30pm)

Thursdays will only run as a FULL day so that we can roam all day!

We accept BACS.

Childcare vouchers for working parents

Some employers offer vouchers to help employees paying for childcare. You usually give up a set amount of your salary in exchange for childcare vouchers. You don’t pay tax or National Insurance on the first £55 a week.

Visit for the “Help with childcare costs for working parents” fact sheet.

We are also registered to receive tax-free childcare vouchers from a range of providers (and are happy to add yours if we aren’t already registered with them).

Working Tax Credit

Many low and middle-income families can claim working tax credit. You could get up to 70 per cent of your childcare costs.
Visit or call the helpline on 0345 300 3900 (Monday to Friday, 8am – 8pm; Saturday, 8am – 4pm).

FRUK Fees can be paid either monthly or termly in advance. All fees must be paid by the 1st of each month if paying monthly.

There is a small charge for Inset Days & Bank Holidays which will be spread between all children attending our setting. We will hold at least one inset day each term for staff training.

Please note currently we do not offer the Government funded 15 hours or 30 hours for 3-4 year olds.

We have implemented a scheme instead whereby low income parents will be able to access subsidised places at FRUK. If you are currently receiving certainGovernment benefits e.g income support, job seekers allowance or universal credit, then we are happy to discuss with you the eligibility criteria to access the limited no. of subsidised places we now offer. Please state that you are interested in applying for one of these places when enquiring about a place at FRUK.

An enrolment/administration fee of £45 is collected when your child has a confirmed place with FRUK and includes a back pack.

The backpack we have chosen is from Deuter and is ergonomic, easy for children to carry and holds a bottle of water in an outside pocket thereby allowing ease of access whilst preventing any of the items carried in the bag from getting wet. It comes with an outer Hi-Vis waterproof cover which is important for children going on nature walks and leaving our site.

There is a minimum notice period of 2 months if you decide to leave FRUK. 2 months notice period must also be given if you reduce the number of days, or sessions, you child attends our setting. All requests must be made in writing.
